Cebuano Cravings began as a deep personal journey. After I lost 80% of my sight due to neuromyelitis optica (NMO), I struggled to find a sense of purpose. My partner, Kath, and I decided to focus on something that would bring joy and comfort—we challenged ourselves in 2023 to try 100 new different restaurants everyday and share our food adventures online. What started as simple daily posts on my personal profile quickly grew into something more meaningful. As our experiences sparked joy among friends and family, I created a dedicated page called “Cebu Cravings” to document our journey. Over time, our content began to resonate with a wider audience, and by 2024, I renamed the page to Cebuano Cravings. It has since grown beyond food, offering insights into travel, skincare, and lifestyle. Through Cebuano Cravings, we share our favorite food finds from beloved local dishes like lechon to hidden gems around Cebu—celebrating the richness of our island’s culinary culture and encouraging others to explore and enjoy its flavors. - Maria of Cebuano Cravings
