In 2025, we’ve taken things a step further. Cebuano Cravings is now expanding beyond just food, exploring the broader cravings of Cebuanos, including travel, lifestyle, cultural experiences, and more. Our mission remains the same: to celebrate what makes Cebu vibrant, flavorful, and worth discovering one craving at a time.
Cebuano Cravings was born from one of the most challenging chapters of my life. After losing 80% of my sight due to neuromyelitis optica (NMO), I found myself searching for a renewed sense of purpose. My partner, Kath, and I decided to channel our energy into something that would spark joy not just for us, but for others as well. In 2023, we set a bold challenge: to explore 100 new restaurants and share each culinary adventure online.
What began as simple daily posts on my personal profile quickly grew into something deeper. Friends and family found joy in our discoveries, and that encouragement inspired me to create a dedicated page called “Cebu Cravings” to document our journey. As our community grew, so did our vision. By 2024, the page evolved into Cebuano Cravings, a celebration of Cebu’s rich culinary culture, from iconic dishes like lechon to hidden local gems waiting to be discovered.

Hi, I’m Kath. While Maria is the face and the video editor of our page, I’m the one mostly behind the scenes—taking the photos, shooting the videos, and writing most of our blog posts. I try to capture moments as honestly as I can, whether through words on a page or clips for our vlog.
When we’re out exploring, Maria brings the personality and connection, while I focus on framing the shot or catching the right angle so we can share the experience with you. In our vlogs, I piece together the footage so you can feel like you’re right there with us, tasting the food, seeing the sights, and soaking in the atmosphere.
I’m not aiming for perfect productions—I just want our stories to feel real and relatable. Every post and video is a mix of Maria’s energy and my eye for detail, and together we’re simply sharing our journey, one adventure at a time.
